Valerio Lubello is a Research Fellow at Bocconi University in Milan, where he works on monetary economics, central bank operations, and the macroeconomic implications of digital money. His research examines how CBDCs and stablecoins may affect monetary policy transmission, bank intermediation, and financial stability.

Dr Lubello's rigorous macroeconomic modelling of digital money scenarios provides the Council with quantitative analysis of potential monetary system transformations. His work has contributed to policy discussions at the European Central Bank and the Bank of Italy on the design implications of a digital euro.
