Biography

Cheng-Yun Tsang is Associate Professor at Monash University Faculty of Law, where he specialises in financial regulation, corporate governance, and the legal implications of financial technology. His research examines how regulatory frameworks can foster fintech innovation while protecting financial stability and consumer interests.

Dr Tsang has contributed to legislative development on crowdfunding regulation, digital payment services, and open banking frameworks across the Asia-Pacific region. His comparative analysis of financial regulatory approaches across East Asian jurisdictions provides the Council with important regional perspectives.
