Biography

Kotaro Yamabe is an attorney-at-law and Chief Legal Officer at Music Securities, Inc., a pioneering Japanese fintech company that has been at the forefront of crowdfunding and digital securities innovation. His legal expertise spans securities regulation, intellectual property, and the regulatory treatment of tokenised assets.

Mr Yamabe provides the Council with unique perspective at the intersection of law, finance, and creative industries. His work on the legal frameworks for micro-investment platforms, security token offerings, and the tokenisation of real-world assets has contributed to Japan's progressive approach to fintech regulation.
