Biography

Lito Villanueva is Executive Vice President and Chief Innovation & Inclusion Officer at RCBC (Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation), one of the largest banks in the Philippines. He is a leading voice in Southeast Asian digital finance and has driven pioneering initiatives in digital banking, mobile payments, and financial inclusion.

Mr Villanueva's work at RCBC has been recognised internationally for advancing financial inclusion through technology — including the development of digital banking platforms serving previously unbanked populations. He provides the Council with practitioner perspective on how traditional financial institutions are navigating digital transformation.
