Biography
Nafis Alam is Professor and Head of School of Business at Monash University Malaysia, where he leads research on Islamic fintech, financial inclusion, and digital banking regulation across Southeast Asia. His work bridges conventional finance theory with the rapidly evolving digital economy landscape.
Professor Alam has published extensively on the intersection of financial regulation and technological innovation, with particular focus on how emerging market economies can leverage fintech to advance financial inclusion while maintaining systemic stability. He serves as an advisor to several central banks on digital finance policy.
